Privacy Policy

TrackMyCerts LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "our," or "us"), operates the TrackMyCerts mobile application and the website at trackmycerts.net. This Privacy Policy explains what information is stored when you use TrackMyCerts and how it is protected.

1. What You Store in TrackMyCerts

TrackMyCerts is a personal storage tool. You choose what to enter, and it is stored in your account so the app can show it back to you. We do not collect this information — you provide it voluntarily for your own use. The following types of information may be stored in your account:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password — required to create and secure your account.
• Profile information: Trade, union membership status, and work-related details you choose to enter.
• Certification data: Certification names, numbers, expiration dates, and photos you upload.
• Job history: Job names, employers, general contractors, locations, dates, hours, and notes you log.
• Notification contact: Phone number (only if you opt in to SMS reminders) and email address for alerts.
• Push notification token: A device identifier generated by your phone, used only to deliver cert expiry reminders to your device.

None of this information is used by TrackMyCerts for any purpose other than displaying it to you and sending the reminders you opt into.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data belongs to you. We don't want it, we don't use it, and we don't look at it.

The only reason your information is stored is so the app can show it back to you. That's it. TrackMyCerts does not analyze your data, does not profile you, does not use your data to improve our product, and has no interest in your data beyond keeping it safe and available to you.

The only things that happen with your data, ever:

• It is displayed inside the app to you.
• Your cert expiry dates are used to trigger reminders — sent to you, by you opting in.
• Your payment is processed by Stripe when you subscribe — we never see your card details.
• If you contact support, we'll read what you send us to help you.

We do not read your certifications, your job history, your notes, or your photos. We have no analytics, no tracking, and no interest in what's in your account.

3. SMS Text Message Program

If you opt in to SMS notifications, TrackMyCerts will send you text messages regarding:

• Reminders about certifications and licenses that are expiring or have expired.
• Renewal batch alerts and cert health summaries.

Opt-in: You must explicitly opt in to SMS messages within the TrackMyCerts app (Settings → Notifications → SMS) or via keyword sign-up. Your consent to receive SMS is not a condition of using our service.

Opt-out: Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from SMS messages. You can also turn off SMS in app Settings → Notifications at any time.

Message frequency: Varies based on your certification expiry dates and notification preferences. Cert reminders begin at 90, 60, and 30 days before expiry, and daily within 10 days.

Message & data rates may apply. Carrier rates for text messages may apply.

We will never sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in these limited cases:

• Stripe: For payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their use of your payment data.
• Twilio: To deliver SMS text messages you have opted into.
• Resend: To deliver email notifications you have opted into.
• Supabase: Our backend database provider, used to store your data securely.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, subpoena, or court order.

We will never share your employment earnings, union status, or personal data with your employers without your explicit consent.

5. Data Security

We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted session tokens stored in device secure storage (not plain text).
• Row-level security (RLS) policies on our database — users cannot access each other's data.
• HTTPS for all data in transit.
• No tracking pixels or ad networks in the app or website.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by visiting Settings → Your Data → Delete All Data in the app, or by emailing support@trackmycerts.net.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and download a copy of your data (Settings → Your Data → Download PDF Export).
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Opt out of any notification type at any time (Settings → Notifications).

8. Children's Privacy

TrackMyCerts is intended for adults (18+) working in the construction industry. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

9. No Advertising

TrackMyCerts does not display advertisements and does not share your data with advertisers. We have no ad permissions in our Android app and no tracking enabled in our iOS privacy manifest.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of TrackMyCerts after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
